KhelNow - Sports App (android) 

About Project

Khel Now is India's first Digital Mobile & Social Platform whose aim is to connect sports fans and businesses(such as sports marketers, publishers, merchants, academics, clubs, coaches, etc.) to one another initially across India and South Asia, and then everywhere else!. They approached RapidValue to create an android app. 

Problem

The current India scenario is more focused on one sport "Cricket". With the introduction of ISL - India Super league many football fans

arrived in Indian background. KhelNow was a platform that has been already there before. but None noticed it before ISL. So Khel Now approached us to develop a website that is responsive. When we made the analytics of people who use the website are more of mobile users we suggest them it will be beneficial to have a  Mobile App and it was trending that period.

Timeline

Duration - June 8, 2015, to  August 5, 2015

  • Week  1   -   Initial Client Meeting to obtain client business requirements.

  • Week 2   -    Understanding users using User interviews, competitive analysis, User personas and Creating Wireframe.

  • Week 3  -     Testing the wireframes and low fi prototypes with Users and obtain feedback from them. And creating UI get approved and provide to developers.

Design Process

Understand Business Requirement

This session was on rapid value headquarters, along with Lead developers, project managers, and digital strategy managers.Our Client was on different  parts of India, so each week Monday we will have call with them to track the progress of work we doing. Based on the comments from client we got they need a new face along with a better experience for their digital platform.

  • Improve the total experience of the platform to more easy and engaging.

  • Increase the database of users to 50% more.

  • Enable users to find sports-related shops, business in Application.

Discovery Phase

The Discovery phase opened up what the real users thought on the product. The discovery phase break down into 3 sections.

KhelNow arranged a set of users to interview and we interviewed them.In order to find a solution we need answers for these questions for our stakeholder (Beer-store),

         

          1. Why People hesitant to use the KhelNow digital platform?

          2. What’s make them use our competitors' digital platform.

          3. What's lacking and what needs to improve?

 

We interviewed and listed some questions, to pick the pain point users are facing. 

        

  1. Which app they usually look for football updates?

  2. Have you ever used a KhelNow app/website before

  • Tried Google forms for survey.

  • Open ended questions to gain wide user perspective.

Conclusion

  • Got appreciation from Client and Users for the new refreshing platforms.

  • Based on analytics from the user database got doubled and achieved project goals.
